Tolle Palasttour mit vielen interessanten Geschichten. Absolute Pflicht bei einem Florenz-Urlaub. Danke.

La guía muy simpática, pero no era un tour. Solo nos explicó a grandes rasgos el castillo y el resto casi nada. Muy poco dinámico, poca información y poca diversión. La verdad frente a precio calidad no lo recomiendo. He aprendido mucho más en otros tours que son free

We had pre-paid for our tickets but they still insisted on taking my son's ID in order to try to get a student rate. I was VERY uncomfortable handing over his ID to a total stranger sitting outside the Palace (not in an office), but the tour guide said not to worry, she's part of the company. I told her we had already paid for the ticket so it didn't matter about a discount and I didn't want to leave ID with a her. (If they DID get a discounted rate, it went to the tour group, not back to us since we had already paid.) Our group of 4 was unable to enter the Palace at the designated time so our male tour guide took us to look thru palace gates via the sidewalk while drilling down on the Medici family history. We then walked to the backside and tried to enter thru the garden, but a guard stopped us. Our guide had us "peek" into the garden area while telling stories. After some time, we finally went back to the front to try to get in again and now the girl with my son's ID is nowhere to be found. I am NOT amused. The tour guide tried calling her on his cell phone several times with no luck. I was very unhappy but then she finally emerged with tickets and returned the ID. I had really looked forward to an in-depth tour of the Palace but we saw maybe 1/3rd of it and heard the same stories from the guide that he had shared outside. He was really into ensuring we knew the lineage, which I can appreciate, but after the 8th time, enough!! Suddenly we were exiting out thru the garden that we had peeked at earlier and not given any time to walk around in there. Now we are back on the sidewalk with an hour still to kill (a 2 hour tour). He asked us about a couple choices to see (which we didn't understand) and so he walked us over to the Duomo where we stood in front of it in the hot sun while he told us about the assassination attempts and re-enacted the event for us. At this point I'm done. I'm hot, unhappy and might as well been seated having a drink while he acted out his Medici stories. My husband didn't want to drop out of the tour feeling it would be insulting so off we go again on another wild goose chase and end up in a plaza where there is a statue of a Medici on a horse (which we had seen on our own wanderings). We again heard the family lineage. Then we walk over to a memorial on the stones where we heard the long story about the monk that was killed there by the Borgia pope. I'm sweating profusely and still standing in the sun. I thought I would be INSIDE a palace not on a death march thru Florence. After he concluded the monk's demise, I thanked him and told him we were done, we needed to sit down and get out of the sun. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. My son (19 years old) said it was the worst tour he's ever been on. This same son spent 7 hours in the Vatican Museums and 6 hours in the Uffizi so he's VERY interested in ancient Roman history. Tour guide was hard to understand, scattered, and didn't seem to have a plan for the 2 hours. I would never recommend this tour company.

Our guide was really knowledgeable and answered all our questions with passion. It was great to learn about the Medici family from someone who studied it all!
I highly recommend this tour for those who love history and want to know the less-known stories of the Medici family.
